California's Proposition 65, the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement act of 1986, addresses growing concerns over exposure to toxic chemicals. This law requires businesses to provide warnings to California consumers about exposures to chemicals that can cause cancer, birth defects, or reproductive harm. There are over 850 chemicals registered under Proposition 65 and they are updated yearly; you can find the list here.
A Proposition 65 warning does not mean that any of our products will cause any harm or are in violation of any product-safety standard or requirements. The warnings are posted to allow Californians to make an informed decision about their exposure to chemicals.
Proposition 65 is a “right to know” law, and we strive to provide the knowledge and tools that our customers need to comply with all applicable laws, including Proposition 65.
